Pastor Call Opportunity

Central Lutheran Church in Edgerton, Wisconsin, is seeking a pastor to join us in an exciting new chapter of ministry.

We are a welcoming ELCA congregation with a long history (150 years) in the Edgerton community. We value meaningful worship, strong relationships, music, children and youth, Christian education, and service to our neighbors.

As an ELCA community rooted in Word and Sacrament, we are blessed with significant participation from families and a vibrant spirit of worship, learning, and service. With our on-site preschool and active Sunday School, we are uniquely positioned to nurture young families and help children grow in faith. Our ministry is energized by the gifts of a congregation that is larger than most in our area, giving us both a solid foundation and the potential to be a regional leader in mission and outreach.

We see tremendous opportunity to deepen our connection with our community especially with the highly regarded local schools, families moving into the area, and those seeking a spiritual home where grace and welcome are lived out daily.

Our challenges are also opportunities. Like many congregations, we seek renewed energy for adult faith formation, youth engagement beyond confirmation, and creative ways to communicate the gospel in a rapidly changing world. We look forward to partnering with a pastor who will help us imagine and live into new ways of being the church together.

By car, we are about 15 minutes north of Janesville; 30 minutes south of Madison; 90 minutes west of Milwaukee; and 2 hours north of Chicago. Edgerton borders one of the largest lakes in southern Wisconsin - Lake Koshkonong.  Current population of Edgerton is 5,800.
